Feminism should stop focusing on being a superior class here in America and go to places in the middle east that treats women less than humans.

Oh, yes, because men sitting at a machine waiting for it to fill up a box with products, then closing the box and putting it aside, putting an empty box in before the next batch of products roll out of a machine, have such interesting and non-repetitious jobs. Considering women get who knows how many female-only scholarships and they're 63% of students and closer to 70% of all graduates, thus have the jobs for the picking, men have the vast majority of lower-class jobs and are the majority of the jobsless, if "women's jobs" are boring and repetitious it's entirely women's fault for choosing boring and repetitious jobs!

The sheer unimaginably level of entitlement and seeking supremacy over men, "My job is boring and repetitious; quick men, daddy state, come fix it!"

You're not the first to get fired, as the majority of those who lost their job during crisis, men, shows.

And tell me exactly how a group of women angry with men lobbying men to come to their rescue is going to solve women prioritizing their looks and other women's looks over what women does? Do men and the state have put you in Burkhas or something protecting you from yourselves? In case you hadn't noticed, but men don't really care that much how you look, let alone whether you have your hair in a perm, or what clothes you wear. The people who prioritize their and your looks, ARE WOMEN! So the solution is really simple; stop giving a damn what other women think of you; and starting doing shit that matters. Feminism not only will not help you with this; everything they do, will only increase their status quo. Or do you think it's a coincidence that with the rise of feminism women showing more skin became the norm? They're directly related. Feminism paints you as victims; more skin equals greater victim, greater humanity with perceived greater emotions; so more skin became visible to fit the narrative and have greater victimhood. And if your power comes from victimhood, and so does the next woman and you need to compete with her; even more skin has to be shown.

No, you're nagging bitches when you're nagging bitches, women do not seem to grasp the difference between raising their voices and being Big Red And if you're quicker classified as that; blame feminism and yourself. Look in the above paragraph; see that "show more skin" trend I talked about, to show off more humanity and greater victimhood. Well, inextricably linked; if you show more humanity and victimhood, automatically your perceived agency and mental capacity is diminished. You can't have one without the other. You can't have your cake and eat it to. And if by your own machinations you are looked upon as having no agency, aka children, when you come demanding attention you're more likely to be considered annoying and having nothing of value. So the solution is really simple; you don't need feminism, quite the contrary, just learn the difference between raising your voice and being a nagging bitch, and stop wearing clothes and makeup that highlight your child-like (neotenous) features, and start dressing like you have agency as opposed to a damsel in distress that needs saving. Oh, you might also add putting the honus on yourselves for a change, as opposed to all of women's advocacy is all about how men should come to your rescue. Every single time you say that men should stop men form doing whatever you don't like, and come to your rescue, you more enforce women as pathetic children.

Oh, yes, women and sex; such horror. People judging you; it isn't like men are being judged in the same way. Nope, it's a uniquely women's problem that needs angry women that hate men to force men to come to women's rescue. I mean, just look at the homosexual women's problem; "they're told they can't a real man", it's so much worse than men being beat into a hospital if not killed for the same; quick hospitalized homosexual men, get back up, dead ones come out your graves, come to our rescue; we're being called names!

Yes, you want childcare; paid for of course by men who get their assets stripped from them by the state. So totally not selfish; it just looks that way. Men who are single fathers are expected to pay for it themselves; but no, totally not selfish.

And if by championing rights, you mean these selfish privileges and entitlements, completely ignoring that the people who pay for them, men, have their assets stripped from them, their rights crushed, if they even had rights to crush to begin with; anyone claiming you are unfeminine are entirely wrong, I also have never heard anyone do it, mind you. What you are is inhuman, hateful, ignorant, entitlement princesses. Which I don't think anyone has ever claimed are unfeminine qualities.

If you want to get married in today's society where women have rights and privileges and men only have responsibilities, where divorce court hands you all his money, strips him of his children with a bunch of rules that effectively makes false allegations a legal and the most powerful tool to destroy the men; especially if you are not advocating to have these inequalities removed, eliminating alimony and child support, putting joint custody (full joint custody equal time with the kids and have it enforced), yeah, you actually ARE trapping a man. With today's laws, especially considering women's hypergamy, a husband, especially a father, is a slave.

Adequate and safe contraception? Let's see; the pill, condoms, female condoms, spermacidal gell, spiral, etc. etc. etc. There are so many, I can't name them all! Let's see about men's contraception: condom. That's it. Considering a woman further has the right to abort, adopt, throw the kid into the nearest fire station, is all but guaranteed custody, and since november 2012 in Canada is even legally allowed to outright murder their born babies, while a man will be enslaved for 18 years child support while not even having the right to be in his own children's lives, who, if you care about equality, actually needs more safe and adequate contraception, hmm? Women? Or men?

Also, men, can't walk on the moon. We do not have super powers. We're not Superman. These days US men nor women, can't even get to space without getting on a rocket in Russia first. Men walked on the moon in the past; but this required magnificent machines, rockets, not to mention space suits and the like. Machines men invented, and men built; and still they allowed women, if they had the desire and gumption to go through the whole training program to be on those rockets and come with them. But hardly any woman had that desire, did they? In fact, an private american, a man, developed brand new, cheap, reusable space rockets and vehicles, which he can sell/rent out to people wanting payloads into space, and he's long term plan is to put people, cheaply, onto Mars. There's nothing stopping a woman from building her own rocked ship corporation. Go on, get. If you think it's so important for women to go to space, start building those rockets... oh, right, women don't really have any interest in the abstract and into objects, do they? They really only go for jobs and study directions that has lots of human interaction; not a lot of math and engineering know how. So what you're saying is, that a bunch of angry women who hate men have whine and push men to strip men's freedoms and rights away and force companies to employ women and in this specific case, put women on the moon? Gets us back to that supremacy, and selfish entitlement, doesn't it?

Wow. Aborting after the first trimester is killing a human being who has a functioning brain that can feel. I would expect, that if you as a woman aren't a complete, vile, selfish, inhuman being I don't need to make you feel guilty; you would be feeling guilty all on your own. But it's nice to know, you think that a bunch of angry women that hate men are needed to help women become complete, vile, selfish, inhuman beings. Does daddy state need to come to women's rescue through brain surgery removing the conscience? Or do you want drugs that shut down your conscience?

Well, in answer to your block of spam, you should consider a few things.

- Men are actually the beneficiaries of quota systems in higher education.  Without them, even fewer of you would make it into college

- You're right, far more women finish college than men.  So why are they still paid less for the same work?

- I'm not going to dignify your repeated references to women as "bitches"

I'm a feminist because I want political, economic, and social equality for men and women.  And indeed, that's the definition of feminism.  So what exactly is it about that that makes you fly off the handle and talk like a crazy person?

you do not get paid less you earn less. factors are the key that shows that. such as choices that women make and the amount of time women take of compared to men.  think about it. if we could get away with paying women less why not hire more women so that way the company will save money? why make it hard for women to enter a field in the first place when they can get a simple discount. that what business owners do. they are more likely to hire someone who is cheaper. i learned that through business class. it is simple logic.

Eh, feminism is more so about female rights than any other gender's.

Women aren't paid less. It's illegal. If you can give me a totally legit comparison of two workloads that are EXACTLY THE SAME and prove me wrong, I'll mail you a hundred bucks. Not kidding.

I gotta say though, If feminism is about equal rights for all genders, I'm puzzled as to why only women are seen in this photo.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely support equality, and I'm no MRA- But overall, feminism and masculinism(?) are EQUALLY bad. There are sexists in both of those groups, and denying that fact would be a sexist statement itself.

Anyway, my point is that both sides of this fight are hurtling downhill at an unimaginable rate. The best place to stand would be at the bottom of both hills, right in the middle, and climb both ends as people, not as males and females.

I'm sorry for commenting on such an old thread, but I want to make a point. The feminist movement was created in the 1800s by the French philosopher Charles Fourier, and he named it feminism, because not only are women affected by a patriarchal society, men are too. Weak and gay men are labelled as feminine. Men raped or faced with domestic violence by women are ridiculed. What a patriarchal society is doing is waging war against the notions of being feminine, which is why Fourier named it such.

Also, the wage gap is likely to be real. here's a study from Stanford university. I hope it's ''valid''' enough
But otherwise here's where you can find hundreds, if not hundreds of thousands of articles on the wage gap statistics.
here is a pdf on the wage gap also, and on page 8, you can see an excellent table that clearly shows you the gaps. But since that's the American association for university women, this is from the USA congress- oh wait it's by a woman.
that's ok, here's one from the European commission about the issue in Europe.

If the wage gap is non-existent, then why is there so much statistical evidence that proves it does in fact exist?

wage gap aside, however, women still face a variety of other issues in the workplace: sexual harassment, sexism, less likely to be promoted, insufficient maternity leave- I hope you don't want me to find you some valid, non-biased sources about these issues too...

You're absolutely right. I wanted to apologize to the other user (but she blocked me). I realize my mistake now, and I was going through some dumbass angsty anti-feminism phase, mainly because I'm around a number of people whom of which are extremists and totally give of the wrong vibe and end up confusing people like me into hating feminism. But, enough of my excuses. The wage gap is real.

Oh, it's ok! Ahh yes, always a bother when you can't get the chance to apologise ''
But yeah, I agree, radfems give the movement a terrible name, but all the same, regardless of the people fighting for the movement, the issues definitely do exist.

This only shows the average income. I have yet to see one that ensures the work load is exactly the same. It can SAY that it is, but when it comes down to controversial topics, wikipedia is commonly used to tip the scales, so this is one of the few times I don't find it legitimate. It may explain the hours worked, but not work load, effort put into work, all that jazz. It may seem ridiculous for me to request that info, but that's exactly my point. Nobody's going to measure it that perfectly, so nobody can truly know.

Thanks for playing.

And you didn't read it.

It lists study after study after study that control for experience, education, job title, and everything else you can think of.

Hopefully you wouldn't ignore all those scholarly studies and just assert that there's no pay gap.

There is no pay gap. It's a matter a women's choice. Mean usually retire later than women or women just retire earlier than men same thing, a women on average will take more sick days, she will also have more than one gestation period. Plus women usually go into less paying jobs.
